The Chautauqua County Humane Society(CCHS) is pleased to announce the 4th annual Hot Dogs, Cool Cats online pet photo contest sponsored by Media One Group, Jon Elder Photography Productions and Invisible Fence of Erie. The contest allows participants to upload digital photos of their beloved companion and share a brief “tail” with the world about their pet. The contest will award 3 prize packages to entrants whose pictures and accompanying narratives are voted as the best by the viewers. The top 12 photos will be featured in the CCHS 2012 calendar. (See the 2011 calendar to your left)
The contest begins on January 1st at 12:00:01a.m., and runs through January 31st at 11:59:59p.m. Entrants can log on to www.spcapets.com, click on the link to the pet photo contest, upload photo(s), add contact info/comments and then promote voting. There is no charge to enter the contest, and the $1 cost per vote (minimum of 5 votes) will benefit the unwanted, neglected, and abused animals awaiting adoption at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Homer was last year’s grand prize winner and the 2011 CCHS Pet of the Year
Contestants are urged to tell friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances to vote for their pet so they can be in the running to become the Chautauqua County Humane Society’s pet of the year for 2012. The grand prize winning photo will also be used in literature for CCHS and will be invited to make special guest appearances at specified CCHS events throughout 2012. 1 sitting for your pet and you, (1) 11 x 14 print and a large assortment of prints.
Invisible Fence of Erie - providing the winner with 1 fully installed outdoor solution invisible fence with up to 500 linear foot of wire for either a dog OR a cat. This includes full installation, transmitter board and receiver collar and initial training.

Submit your pet's photo for FREE beginning on January 1, 2012.

Photos are displayed on the website until 11:59:59 PM (EST), January 31, 2012, for public voting.

Votes are $1, minimum of 5 votes each transaction. The top 12 winning entrants will have their pet's photo displayed on an 11”x17” calendar and on the homepage of our website, www.spcapets.com

Calendars will be for sale at CCHS starting in February 2012.

Also, the pet who wins the most votes and is ranked #1 at the conclusion of the contest will win the prestigious title of “CCHS PET OF THE YEAR”.

Photos may contain more than one pet.

You may enter as many photos as you want, however keep in mind that friends and family votes add up, spreading those votes among multiple entries limit your chances of winning.

Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote.

There is a 5 vote minimum donation.

When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank" of votes that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place a few here, a few there, etc

You may email links to family/friends to encourage voting for your pet's photo.

On your pet's public page, there is a new "share" button that allows you to share your entry through

Facebook and other social networking sites.

The top 12 vote recipients will grace the 11” x 17” calendar.

All submitted photos are subject to review by CCHS

All submitted photos become the property of CCHS to be used at their discretion for any and all marketing purposes.

We will be accepting entries and votes through 11:59:59 PM (EST), January 31, 2012.
